Capt. Mark Magni
August 27, 2014
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reel Till U Feel Charters Fishing Report for Tampa Bay (Gandy Area)
The Redfish have shown up the flats around Weedon Island along with Picnic Island. Quite a few fish landed were in the 30 to 34 inch range with only a few in the slot of 18 to 27 inches.
The morning Trout bite on top water plugs has landed the larger fish. As the day heats up the water the bite has been in the 3 to 6 foot range.
Finding Mangrove Snappers on the Grass flats, Bridges and Rock piles eager to bite whole and cut Greenbacks.
Bonnethead Sharks are roaming the flats around the bait schools. Watch for diving birds around the bait schools for Spanish Mackerel.
Some slot Snook were landed this week on Live Greenbacks. The bite should only get better as we go into September.
To beat the heat fish the bridges for Pompano using Docs Goofy Jigs and Half of a Blue Crab for the Black Drum.

Get out on the water and have some fun.
