Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reel Till U Feel Charters Fishing Report for Tampa Bay
With the cold front that moved through the area last weekend and the Full Moon on Wednesday made the daytime bite interesting. A handful of nice size slot Redfish were landed by my anglers on cut Ladyfish and Pinfish. Patience was the key to landing the Reds.
A nice surprise this week was the Flounder bite. No doormats but nice 14 to 17 inch fish were landed on Greenbacks and the DOA Shrimp rigged on a jig head.
Working the area where the birds were diving on bait keep my anglers with bent rods catching Spanish Mackerel. Hitting anything that was moving through the water. A very underrated fish. Not only to catch but not bad cooked on the grill or smoked for a good tasting Fish Spread.
Last nights Full Moon trip for Mangrove Snapper was one of the best bites in a few years. Both my anglers had there limit of 5 fish each within a hour of fishing. Switching gears we started targeting Snook on Pinfish. After they landing a few small 20 to 22 inch Snook each the excitement of the night happened, The rod double over and was taking drag. After about 20 minute fight the fish came along side the boat, it was a nice Cobia with another one following, I pitch out a Pinfish and fish on, handed the rod over to my angler for the fight. The fire drill was on. Only was able to land the first Cobia. Made the night.
Get out on the water and have some fun.
