Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay.
Fishing this last week during the day with the Full Moon tides and cold front moving through the area every 3 days made the bite tuff for me. The afternoon bite around the Major Solunar period was a lot better. When the moon wasn't beaming so bright at night, The Flounder bite really turned on, with a few Very nice 24 & 22 inch being brought aboard, Most were in the 14 to 17 inch range, Fishing the sand pot holes with Scaled Sardines and Shrimp pined to the bottom.
The Redfish and Snook bite is on and off around the Picnic Island and Weedon Island flats. Both islands have a lot of smaller Snook in the 22 inch range willing to bite with the larger ones in the 28 to 32 being very leery.
The Redfish do not like the winds, but dead sticking cut Pinfish and Ladyfish on the higher water has brought some lower slot fish in the boat.
Trout are biting corked Shrimp and Greenbacks in the 2 to 5 foot of water. The key is moving along the flat. 25 yards can be the different in 12 to 14 inch fish to the 15 to 17 inch fish.
If you just want to have some fun with bent rods, fish the areas with diving birds for Ladyfish, Jacks and Bluefish. Just get out on the water and have some fun.
