Tampa Bay Fishing Report 1/7/15

Capt. Mark Magni
January 7, 2015
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay.
Happy New Year.
Winter fishing can be very challenging at times. Fishing deeper water the last few weeks has produce Black Sea bass eating just about anything you drop down. Sea Bass are very delicious fish to eat, though not the largest fish to be caught inshore, They are feisty and the bite is aggressive.
The Bridges are holding Sheepshead of all sizes, Hitting small and cut Shrimp, Fiddler & Mud Crabs. Also a few Mangrove Snapper were landed while fishing around the bridges on cut Shrimp, known as a warm water bite.
The Silver Trout bite continues to be a great fish to target this time of the year. There is no size limit on Silver Trout, just keep what you can eat that night. If you try freezing them they turn to mush.
If you are fishing with young kids, Ladyfish are all over the flats and will keep the kids with bent rods.
Just get out on the water and have some fun.
