Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

With warmer than normal temperatures and an abundance of sunshine the sight fishing has been great. We have been targeting large Jacks, redfish, and even some resident tarpon. We are probably less than a month away from the fishing in Tampa Bay hitting it's full stride.

I have done fly fishing trips the last 5 days and we did extremely well. Big Jacks on the fly aren't for the faint of heart and my anglers Jason and Cory tore them up. The redfish action has been good on incoming tides and should continue to pick up as our tides get better into the spring. Stealth is paramount and a little poling or trolling goes a long way. Some people just don't get buzzing the shorelines on plane in a tower boat ruins the fishing for everyone else. Please show a little respect and common courtesy for your fellow anglers, it goes a long way.
