Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The silver kings are back in Tampa Bay. We started the season off by landing a huge fish, one over 200 pounds. The tarpon bite is not yet on fire, but it keeps getting better every day as the water temperature rises. From the looks of things, this tarpon season is going to be an outstanding one.

The snook, redfish, and trout bite has been great too. Bait is showing up on the flats, which makes the fish bite. Cold fronts continue to sweep through the area causing the bite to turn off sometimes. Once the weather settles down a bit, I think we will see some bigger fish show up in the area.
