Warm ups mean hot fishing!

Capt. Brandon Henley
January 22, 2016
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

We got our first real taste of winter this week. The first spot I fished Tuesday the water was a frigid 53 degrees! A sharp water temp drop never is a good thing, but the following warm up can lead to good fishing. I have been mainly targeting trout, redfish, and jacks but we did get into some snook yesterday afternoon. The air temp was 71 degrees and the fish responded. We had some excellent redfishing during the warmest part of the afternoon.
