Feels like fall is on the way!

Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well the weather has finally calmed back down to normal.....thank God! The water clarity has been fairly good on the beaches, and still really tannic in the back.

Bait is starting to stack up at every inlet, pass, or jetty. Red fish snook and tarpon can all be caught in these area's at the same time. Schools of reds are washing through at alot of the inlets from day to day. One day their every cast, next day not the first one, constantly moving for the spawn.

Snook are taking advantage of the large schools of bait, flying out of the water in unison, sometimes 30 -40 fish all at the same time. Most of the fish are between 22 - 28 inches. Swarms of jacks and ladyfish are taking advantage as well.

This time of year is so peasant to fish! The crowds are still to a minimum, the humidity of summer is decreasing, and the fish feel the changing of season, fattening up for the on coming winter. Catch the right situation and you can experience some of the best fishing of the year!

Until next time, tight lines and screaming drags!

Come fish the 10,000 Islands and the Everglades National Park for tarpon, snook, red fish and more with either flyrods or light tackle. All artificial no live bait, geared for two anglers. Fly through the shallows in a Hellsbay Whipray. Fishing with the finest equiptment like Sage fly rods and Bauer reels or St. Croix spin rods and Quantum reels. Sight fishing is my passion! Target the toughest saltwater species in mere inches of water and fool them into eating year round.
