Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

September fishing has been on fire to say the least. The bait fish migration is full force and the fish are fattening up!
There is an incredible tarpon bite at first light, but it is a short bite.

Sharks and mackeral are everywhere feeding on the giant schools of ladyfish.

Snook are scouring the surf line devouring the tiny bait fish. The fly fisherman is out fishing even the live bait guys due to the size of the local forage bait. Sight fishing schools of snook running along the surf line in less than a foot of water.
Guys down south are finding sporadic schools of red fish, but it has been hit or miss. And when it is a hit, you're in a school which can yield up to 30 fish.

This is when Naples and Marco is on fire!

Ten Thousand Islands Fishing Forecast:

October is going to be one of the most active month to slam alot of fish. Tarpon fishing can not get any easier, even the novice can catch the biggest fish of their life.
As the waters cool a little more, ravenous schools of bonito and kingfish right off the beach.
Snook and reds are getting even more active to fatten up for the winter.
Consistent fishing should last through the month.
If you have the time and you have the game you need to get a piece of this fantastic fishery. Weather is perfect and the winds are light and offshore, making for a perfect day on the water.
Don't miss out!!!

Target Species:

Tarpon - Snook

More Fishing Reports:

Come fish the 10,000 Islands and the Everglades National Park for tarpon, snook, red fish and more with either flyrods or light tackle. All artificial no live bait, geared for two anglers. Fly through the shallows in a Hellsbay Whipray. Fishing with the finest equiptment like Sage fly rods and Bauer reels or St. Croix spin rods and Quantum reels. Sight fishing is my passion! Target the toughest saltwater species in mere inches of water and fool them into eating year round.
