Kingfish and shark action is busting wide open!

Capt. Dave Pinkham
May 7, 2008
Venice - Saltwater Fishing Report

This past month the fishing on the gulf has been nothing short of amazing!

We're still catching lots of kingfish, with some up to 30 pounds. The biggest problem we've been having is getting them to the boat before a shark hits them.

May is one of the best times of the year for fishing on the gulf, and this is one heck of a fishy May.

Along with the kings and shark, we've been catching lots of mangrove snapper, gag and red grouper, Spanish mackerel, amber jack, and cobia.
