Jekyll Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing the Satilla River in Coastal Georgia - The definition of "top shelf" Fishing Action and Fishing Charters on the Georgia Coast!
The Jekyll Island area and Satilla River is home to some of the largest Redfish in the World and superb summer season Tarpon Fishing and Spinner Shark Fishing... It's really hard to believe this small, beautiful River named "Little Satilla" River in Coastal Georgia is so important to our local fishery and the Georgia Coast fishery in general.
The Little Satilla River (and her larger counterpart, The Satilla River) hosts a wide variety of gamefish due to her brackish water conditions that include its nursery, marsh, mud and shellfish habitat and salinity levels.
Fish that grow up in this area or spawn here are well known species such as; Speckled Trout, Redfish (Red Drum, Channel Bass, Spot Tail Bass), Whiting, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper and many more.
Record breaking size Redfish like some you see posted from our Charters come from this River. Her Bounty is fruitful and her landscape... well, it's beautiful!
