Lake Allatoona - Freshwater Fishing Report

This striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 678-363-6260. www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: [email protected].
Line sides fishing is good and not much has change from last week. The lake is stain from one end to the other. Finding clear water is the ticket. Free lines and planner boards in the morning and late afternoon and then down lines in the middle of the day. As the water starts to clear fishing should get better. We still aren't loading the boat. But the fish we caught where good fish. Hope to have a better report for you next week. Trolling is still working and the best times seems to be mid day. For the next month we are going to offer a Carters Lake special along with and Allatoona special when you mention Ken Sturdivant’s name. Call for details and kids all ways fish free with paying adults.
SPECIAL REPORT: CARTERS LAKE IS FULL BY ROBERT EIDSON FIRST BITE GUIDE SERVICE 678-363-6260
Line sides fishing is very good on Carters. This time of year I spend half my time on Allatoona and half on Carters. If you’re looking to break a lake record for stripers on a lake in Georgia, Carters Lake is your best bet. In the past four weeks there has been 3 fish over 30 pounds weight in at Bart's Bait and Tackle. One of my clients had one that push right at 30 pounds just 2 weeks ago. For those of you that haven't heard about it, there was a new lake record caught on January 30 and weighed 33.2 pounds. I truly believe this record will not last long. The fish we are catching on Carters right now are BIG. We are not loading the boat with numbers, but the ones we are catching are true trophy fish. Fishing is very good right at sun up and the river is holding a lot of fish and so is the main creeks down lake. Flat line, free lines, planner boards and balloons are all working early in the morning and late afternoon. The best bait right now is Trout. By mid day, these fish move out to the mouths of the creeks and at the mouth of the river. Down lines are then your only bet to catch fish. Find the bait and then drop your Trout down just above the bait. On Wednesday, we caught fish as deep as 57 feet. So don't be afraid to go deep. If you need bait Bart's bait and tackle has what you need here is their phone number.706 253-BAIT. For the next 2 months we are going to have a Carters Lake special a full day trip for 2 people (8 hours) for $350.00 and if you mention Ken Sturdivant you can add a 3 person for FREE and remember kids all ways fish free with paying adults. Give me a call and let’s go get that record fish.
