Line sides fishing is good for big fish. We aren't catching a lot of numbers but we are catching some big fish right now. On Feb 22 I got to fish with Aaron Bagwell and his grandfather James it was Aaron 14 birthday and man was the striper gods good to him Aaron caught a 21,1/2 pound striper it's at Cranes being mounted right now. On Fri Feb 24 I fish with Roy and Shawn and Griffin. And they boated two 19,1/2 pounders and a MONTER 30 pounder. And then on Mon. Feb 27 I fish with Jackie and Richard both retired now and wanted to learn striper fishing. Richard has never caught a striper before and probably want ever catch one again as big as his 1st.one Mon. A very nice 32 pounder. Way to go Aaron, Roy and Richard. All right now here how to do it. The South end of the lake has starting to slow down since Monday and there seems to be a better bite mid lake right now. The key is to be using BIG baits in the back of the creeks. Flat-lines and Planner boards are working best. But put out a couple a down lines to. This is working best early in the morning and right at dark. By mid day move out to the mouths of the creeks and fish all down lines. Find the bait on your Lowrance and drop your lines down right on top of it. Trolling is still working and the best times seem to be mid day. Mack Farr u-rigs in all white are by far the best. For the next month we are going to offer a Carters Lake special along with and Allatoona special when you mention Ken Sturdivant’s name. Call for details and kids all ways fish free with paying adults.
SPECIAL REPORT: CARTERS LAKE IS FULL BY ROBERT EIDSON FIRST BITE GUIDE SERVICE 770 827-6282 www.firstbiteguideservice.com
Line sides fishing is Fair on Carters right now. Fish the same way this week as last. Trout are still the ticket early in the morning on Flat-lines and planner boards. But there is only about and hour window that this will work. Right at sun up. And then the bite does a 180 on us. They go DEEP real deep. I have caught fish this past week as deep as 57 feet. And the ticket to catching these fish is the find the bait. All most all creeks are holding fish and bait. But in some of the creeks they may be in the mouth. And in others they may be half way back. Find the bait and down line right on top of them. If you need bait Bart's bait and tackle has what you need here is their phone number.706 253-BAIT. Trolling is working really well. Just like Allatoona the Mack Farr u-rig in all white trolled right on top of the bait will get you bit. For the next 2 months we are going to have a Carters Lake special a full day trip for 2 people (8 hours) for $350.00 and if you mention Ken Sturdivant you can add a 3 person for FREE and remember kids all ways fish free with paying adults. Give me a call and let’s go get that record fish.
