Catching Quality Stripers on Lake Lanier.

Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Shane Watson Guide Service Report 03-28-11. Since my last report, we've been catching quality stripers on Lake Lanier. Freelined and planerboard bluebacks, gizzard shad, bucktails, and McSticks continue to produce. Our boats are catching a few fish in the backs of creeks, but most of our fish have been on points and humps. The night time bomber bite continues to be good. Long A's and McSticks fished on points and sandy pockets after dark are working. My crappie guide has been doing well on chartreuse and pink jigs around docks and brush in stained water. Overall, the fishing has been great. Everything seems to be on track for a great spring and summer on Lake Lanier. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service 770-889-5549 www.lakelanierstripers.com, Hammond's Fishing Center, and Carolina Skiff Boats. Good Fishing.
