Great Striper Fishing on Lake Lanier.

Capt. Shane Watson

Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Shane Watson Guide Service Report 08-09-11. Great striper fishing continues on Lake Lanier. Our boats have been out everyday and we have caught stripers up to 27 pounds this past week. Downlined bluebacks fished 40-100 feet deep in the mouths of creeks and out over the main channel are working. Leadcore, with a live blueback tipped jig is also working well in these same areas. Mid morning to mid day has been best on the stripers. Overall, the stripers fishing has been great most days this summer. It will only get better into late August and September. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service www.lakelanierstripers.com 770-889-5549, Hammond's Fishing Center, and Carolina Skiff Boats. Good Fishing and We Appreciate Your Business.
