Lake Lanier Striper Fishing

Capt. Scott Collins
May 15, 2010
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper Fishing on Lanier is great right now. Not much has changed with the pattern. Flat lines are working early across main lake points. There is still some surface activity most mornings. Look for Stripers rolling off shallow points close to deep water. Spotted Bass are still crushing spooks and jerk baits every morning. Bass fishing has been excellent, its hard keeping live baits in the water. When the sun gets high in the sky down lines are working well around brush piles fished down 20 feet. We have seen some really nice sized Stripers mixed in with a lot of spotted bass this week. The bite has been best Mid-lake. We still have a couple of open dates in May.
