Lake Lanier Striper Fishing

Capt. Scott Collins
July 8, 2010
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Fishing on Lanier is great right now. We are catching fish out deeper than weeks past. Fish are still sitting very tight to standing timber, getting a Striper out of the trees once hooked is another challenge. We have been catching most of our fish over a 70-90 foot bottom. Power reeling and jigging 1 oz buck-tails over schools of fish really gets the fish in a frenzy. It's nice to be catching consistent bigger fish again. Mid-lake is still the best place to find fish. Anyone can enjoy this great down-line bite right now, call 678-634-3408 for booking information. To see some pictures from this weeks catch swing by www.gettinluckyfishing.com. See you on the water.
