Lake Lanier Striper Fishing

Capt. Scott Collins
September 21, 2012
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lanier is good. The cooler weather is making for some great days on the lake. We are catching Stripers on main lake points and in the mouths of creeks. Down lines have been working the best for us. We are seeing the occasional Striper on top chasing bait to the surface. Top-water is about to getting started. We have been catching some nice Spotted bass on top-water. This cooler weather is making the fish more active. It's time to have a swim bait, spook, red fin, chug, or jerk bait close by. This top-water bite is best early morning, and late evening. The fish are biting through out the day, they just move a little deeper. We still have a couple of open dates in October. See you on the water
