Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Stripers

The Fishing doesn't get much better on Lake
Lanier right now. There are Stripers holding on points North, Mid lake, and South. Its hard to find fish this time of year but when you do get your game face on these Stripers are biting. Flat lines with herring, and 7 inch redfins are producing big Stripers. Presentaion is key with the Redfin, a slow steady retrieve catches fish. Look for the down line bite to pick up and the fish becoming more visable on your Lowrance with the coming couple of weeks. There are a couple of dates open next week 678-634-3408.

Spotted Bass
Spotted bass can be found any where on the lake. Some of these fish are suspended in the middle of the river channel feeding, while some are right against the bank pushing shad on sandy beaches. Look for scattering shad, swirls, and boils on the surface. Red fins, jerk baits, and swim baits are producing good numbers of bass. It's post spawn and these fish are hungry. See you on the water.
