Summer Time Lake Lanier Striper Fishing has Reels Screaming

Capt. Scott Collins
June 12, 2013
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper Fishing on Lake Lanier has really picked up! Some of the fish are starting to move to deeper water than weeks past making them easier to target. Weighted flat lines and down lines are working for us all day. We have boated good numbers of Stripers in the morning and afternoon. They are just starting to school up, making for some fast action when they pass under the boat. There is also a trolling bite, lead core 5-7 colors with a 1oz bucktail will put fish in the boat. We've been having a lot of fun throwing top-water for some behemoth spotted bass in the early morning. These chunks are in the middle of the channel engorging on thread fins. Fishing has been good. The Stripers and Spotted Bass are feeding. It's hard to beat summer time action on Lanier. There are Stripers mid-way back in every creek on the lake. The fish are suspending around schools of bait. We will be catching some of the the best numbers of the year in the next couple of months. We still have acouple open dates in June. Call me at 678-634-3408 to get hooked up. All of these fish were caught 6/8/13. See you on the water
