Its full Tilt on Lake Oconee

Capt. Doug Nelms
March 19, 2015
Lake Oconee - Freshwater Fishing Report

It is on full tilt! The crappie are going off and the stripers are just starting. The white bass are running up the rivers, and the largemouth are doing their thing. I love this time of year! Right at this moment I am crappie fishing and we are catching the largest fish of the year. On many trips this year we have boated crappie over 2 pounds and it will probably continue until the full moon of April. As soon as that is over, we will be on the stripers. I believe this year will be the biggest stripers we have seen in a long time on Oconee. Give us a call if your interested in getting in on this great action.

During the hot summer months he heads to the Chattahoochee River to pursue monster Striped bass. He fishes from a custom jet boat, built exclusively for fishing the river.
