St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tuesday December 23rd started out cold and windy.Morning lows in the high 30's and NE winds 10-15kts.The water looked clear despite the windy conditions. We started out slow fishing 3-4 drops before we had a bite. Finally,we located Trout ranging from 15-17 inches. The fish were in 3-4 ft of water and up the ICW.We kept 11.When the tide turned and started in,we moved to St Andrews Sound, where we boxed another 10 fish and released 10 others. Most of the fish were taken on live shrimp. On the way back in, we stopped and caught 5 Redfish ranging fron 15-22 inches.Despite the wind, we were able to put together a nice catch.
