Trout, Redfish and Flounder

Capt. Jeff Stokes

St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

What a way to start out the day this morning I had Phil and his son Brice from north GA. We were fishing the first of the outgoing tide in the St. Simons sound picking up several trout some that were to small and also had some nice keeper trout. As the tide started dropping out of the grass we caught redfish and a couple of sharks. After fishing the sound we moved back into the rivers behind St Simons and picked up a really nice flounder and missed a couple other fish. All of the fish were caught using live shrimp under a popping cork in 3-6ft of water and most of the fish were caught by Brice he was a fishing machine.
