Spring Report from Musky Whisperer Guide Service

Capt. Bryan Piekarski
June 6, 2013
Webster Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

The Musky fishing has been slow thusfar in Northern Indiana, however, with some patience and persistance, some very nice fish have been caught. The success I have been having with my clients has mainly been on the troll at medium speeds. Twitching the baits as we troll has triggered some nice strikes and some nice fish. The water temps are now hovering around the 70 mark which should be optimum for some better fishing until the heat moves in and the water moves above the 80 degree mark. June should be a banner month. The spring weather has been all over the place with a few hot days and more than normal cool days. I am hoping that the weather stabilizes for a while so that the fishing improves. All the indicators tell me that this will be true and I am looking forward to the next 3-4 weeks as I anticipate things to turn around.
