Fishing in the Heavy Fog

Capt. Joe Ezell
March 14, 2020
Delacroix - Saltwater Fishing Report

Wednesday, we had 3 generations of the Barnes crew, John, son Jarrod, and grandson Greyson aboard the Majek chasing redfish in the Delacroix marsh. A heavy fog forced us to pick our way slowly through the marsh to our first stop where John (on his first redfish trip) stuck a 32" hammer on the third cast. A short time later Greyson got his first keeper red and followed that up with a 35" big nasty black drum. The rest of the day was a series of moves as we picked through 40-50 rats to put their limit in the box. Greyson closed out his first trip with a final 31" red to cap off the day. A great crew that stayed positive through all the stops to get it done. They were a pleasure to fish with.
