Dularge - Saltwater Fishing Report
Well after hearing about all the great reports of trout being caught while I was deer hunting I was excited to get back to doing what we do best, catching trout!! Had the guys with Prime Occupational Medicine back on-board Monday--Paul Crain, Don Fontenot, and Jerry Flood. Headed out to our first stop thinking it was going to be a one stop slam, but it didn't happen. The trout decided they didn't want to cooperate, so off we went in search of more. Hit about 15 different locations catching 2-4 fish at every stop. Either the fish were not concentrated or were just not turned on to feed. My thoughts are they were just not feeding as we found fish everywhere I stopped the boat. Anyhow, we still managed to put 30 fish in the box and enjoyed doing it. Most of the boats we spoke with had 1-5 fish. Most of todays fish were caught on the old faithful sparkle beetle under a cork (very finicky bite). Looking for a better bite the rest of the week. Thanks again to my crew for the good time and great company!
