Dularge - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fun day fishing "Down Dularge" today. Wayne Landry, Nick Guillory, Allen "Big Fish" Gomez, and Jerry "The Fish Slayer" Aguillard joined me today. Lots of laughs on the Blazer today as the guys were real fun to fish with!! It did not take Allen "Big Fish" Gomez long to jump all over the fish as he caught a nice 17 inch trout on his first cast. Soon after he landed a real nice red-fish pictured above, making him the winner of the crew's BIG FISH contest. Our first drift only produced 5 trout and 3 reds, so it was time to move. We hit a few flocks of birds picking up roughly another 10 trout. Our last stop is where we did our best. Sitting on anchor we had the yellow-mouths coming in from 360 degrees around the boat, catching another 25-30 fish with several being throwbacks. The guys were ready to call it quits when several rain drops started to fall. No fast and furious action today, but the guys put together a good mess of fish for such poor conditions. Thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for putting the trip together, and thanks to my crew for the great company, and laughs!!
