Dularge - Saltwater Fishing Report
Day 2 with Cody, Steve Lenert and the 25-30mph winds!!! We made a quick run first thing this morning to check out a trout spot. We found fishable water, but no trout. I did however snag a 30# drum in the eyelid with a Tsunami!! He was mad..LOL. Decided we better haul it to the ponds since we only had till 11:00 to fish. What a great day we had in the ponds today, much better action than yesterday!!! Beautiful clear water in the area we fished today and the reds were hungry!!!! Steve started to put the hurt on the reds early as he had the first three reds in the boat. Cody and I came back boating each a red and missing another. We made a quick move and Steve was at it again, putting another two nice reds in the boat. Steve was fishing with the 4 1/2 inch LSU Chub, while Cody and I had been using spoons, Tsunami's, and spinner baits. Well after steve put his fifth red in the boat Cody and I decided to switch to the 4 1/2 inch chub also. In the next ten minutes we hooked up with another eight fish. It was like a switch was turned on!!!! It was 11:00 and time to go, so we left them biting in this 25-30mph wind. Todays reds went 17-29 inches with most going 25-26 1/2 inches. Excellent day today with superb company, thanks guys for a awesome two days. I look forward to next time.
