Dularge - Saltwater Fishing Report

I took my dad, Capt. Ryan Young and long time family friend Mr James Jennings out today. Perfect conditions this morning as we were greeted with NO WIND to speak of, clean green water, schools of mullet, and a falling tide. I thought we were going to hammer the trout.....WRONG. The gnats were so thick that it was intolerable. There were so many of them that you could not breath without breathing them in. They were in our ears, nose, eyes, etc......it was miserable. I had to get up on step and leave the fish and the gnats. Went to another spot and started putting trout in the boat right away, and within minutes we had more gnats than at our first stop. After 5-10 minutes of being attacked I had to leave here also. We could not stay in one place for more than ten minutes before it was so miserable I had to leave. The water all over Dularge was beautiful and I found trout at five of our stops, but could not stay long enough at any of them to get any good numbers . Once the wind picked up it was over just like yesterday. I brought the guys to drop some shrimp and it payed off, as Mr James will head back to Monroe with three gallon ziplocks of fillets
