Allen McElroy and JoAnne Hotard joined me Saturday. The wind was not a factor as we fished protected bays and canals with clean moving water. No bird/shrimp activity found all day long. The handful of trout we caught were holding in 3-6ft depths on the bottom (slow steady retrieve). Water temp had dropped 12 degrees from previous days (67 degrees). Shallow water across the Du as the tide dropped a good 1 1/2 feet (be careful out there). Allen caught the big trout of the day and big fish (38 pound black drum). We only found one red to fall victim to the ole LSU chub and it was too small. Despite the slow bite, the company was great and we had a great time. Look forward to a better bite next time! THANKS again.

Heading to the deer camp the next few days and look forward to the bite getting back to normal when I return.
