Shell Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report
Friday fun at Shell Beach. I picked up John, his wife Nicole and their son Q from their camp. It was Q's birthday fishing trip and he was ready to hit the water. It was just a little to breezy to run out to the Sound so we stayed closer in. Fishing with Campo's live shrimp 3' under a cork they managed to put some good trout on ice with plenty throwbacks to weed through before the wind picked up and killed the bite. Q wanted to catch a redfish so we made move and beat the bank of a bayou. They had fun catching some nice reds for the grill that evening.
All fish in the Suzuki powered Blazer Bay 2400 were caught with Campo's live shrimp on Capt. Rory's United Charters custom rods provided by CUI Products with Penn reels, spooled with Power Pro line. All fish removed and boxed with the one and only Just Grab it Glove.
The trout are moving into the marsh and that great fall fishing is here. This is some of the best inshore fishing of the year.
