Louisiana - Venice & the Gulf of Mexico

Venice - Saltwater Fishing Report

Good Weather-Great Fisihng!*Bad Weather-No Fishing!

For those of you who keep up with our reports I am sorry we have not posted in a while. The weather down here in South Louisiana has not been very favorable for offshore fishing since the Hurricanes. We have had a few days here and there but up until this past week the fishing has been off.

On Friday we went out chasing those Yellowfin Tuna again. We had Thomas Vinet and friends from Baton Rouge, La. The morning started out a little slow and catching bait was also tough. We ended up catching one yellowfin tuna that weighed about 129lbs. and another in the 40lb. range. The fishing this time of year usually results in fish in the 100lb. class. We will be out fishing the next few days and we hope to have better and bigger catches.
