Venice - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tuna and Wahoo in the Winter.
It is that time of year again. Plenty of cold fronts, strong north winds, low temps. one day/high temps. the next, a lot of lost faith in the weather forecasters and some days socked in fog. But the yellow fin tuna and wahoo action is at its best. This is our most consistent time of year for catching 100+lb. yellow fins, plenty of black fin tuna, monster size wahoo, and for those who want them MAKO sharks. We've already had one wahoo weigh in at 77.5lbs. this month. The tuna bite is good right now and with the colder weather we have been having it is only getting better. We had to cancel yesterday because of the wind forecast, but we will be back out on the first calm day.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
