Fishing so far

Downeast - Freshwater Fishing Report

Finally get a chance to post a report. Sorry for the delay. Turkey season took over this season and didn't get a big chance to do any fishing.

We have had a wet spring and that seem to have kept fishing slow. Large and smallmouth bass seem to be on their beds late this year.

Trolling for salmon and other trout has been picking up a bit. Elwives had their run back in May and been lots of bait fish for the bigger fish to feed on. Some days you get into big schools of bait and the trout and salmon will not bite.

Downeast Fishing Forecast:

I think things are on the upswing and fishing should be getting better.

Target Species:

large and smallmouth bass, lake trout, ll salmon, splake, and other trout species

More Fishing Reports:

Come fish with us east of the Penobscot River, which is known as the Downeast area of Maine. This area has lots of ponds, lakes, and streams to be fished. Trolling streamer flies is one of Maine's fishing traditions. Early spring trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Trout. Troll for Togue (Lake Trout) and other fish through the summer and fall months. Plus fishing for Large or Smallmouth bass with either fly or spinning gear. I also offer icefishing trips in the winter.
