Downeast - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water temps are down a bit so the bass have been active out in the lakes and ponds. I did some trolling last week and the bass fishing was great. Fishing off of points seem to be the spots to hit as fish were stacked up on them. Small trolling lures and tandem flies worked great.

Downeast Fishing Forecast:

If the weather cools down early in Sept. we should have some great fall salmon fishing.

Target Species:

ll salmon, togue, browns, splake, brookies, large and smallbass

Come fish with us east of the Penobscot River, which is known as the Downeast area of Maine. This area has lots of ponds, lakes, and streams to be fished. Trolling streamer flies is one of Maine's fishing traditions. Early spring trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Trout. Troll for Togue (Lake Trout) and other fish through the summer and fall months. Plus fishing for Large or Smallmouth bass with either fly or spinning gear. I also offer icefishing trips in the winter.
