Penobscot Bay - Freshwater Fishing Report

Things started early here in Maine this year. Ice out was very early all through the state.
Trout fishing in the local pond is going on strong. People are catching trout by trolling sewn smelts and lures.

I will not get fishing till the middle of next month. Turkey season starts the first of May and that is where I will be for a few days.

But keep stopping by to check out my reports and see what is going on.

More Fishing Reports:

Come fish with us east of the Penobscot River, which is known as the Downeast area of Maine. This area has lots of ponds, lakes, and streams to be fished. Trolling streamer flies is one of Maine's fishing traditions. Early spring trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Trout. Troll for Togue (Lake Trout) and other fish through the summer and fall months. Plus fishing for Large or Smallmouth bass with either fly or spinning gear. I also offer icefishing trips in the winter.
