Summers Fishing

David Cassidy Sr.
July 27, 2008
Penobscot Bay - Freshwater Fishing Report

Salmon and Togue are still hitting lead core.
Sewn bait and a few lures have been doing the trick.
Water temps were on the rise but after a few rain showers water temps seem to be staying down for a bit longer.

Brooks and streams are low and the temps did rise so trout fishing has shut down till fall.

Have a great summer.

Penobscot Bay Fishing Forecast:

If water temps stay down and we keep getting rain from time to time we should keep catching a few Togue and LL Salmon thru the summer.

Target Species:

LL Salmon, Togue, Browns, Brook Trout, Large mouth Bass, Small mouth Bass

More Fishing Reports:

Come fish with us east of the Penobscot River, which is known as the Downeast area of Maine. This area has lots of ponds, lakes, and streams to be fished. Trolling streamer flies is one of Maine's fishing traditions. Early spring trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Trout. Troll for Togue (Lake Trout) and other fish through the summer and fall months. Plus fishing for Large or Smallmouth bass with either fly or spinning gear. I also offer icefishing trips in the winter.
