Baja Sur - Saltwater Fishing Report

EAST CAPE, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO

TEMPERATURES: High of 93 with a low of 80.
STRIPED MARLIN Definitely has picked this week lots of sailfish
YELLOWFIN TUNA Larger fish underneath the porpoise outside.
DORADO Some schooling up from La Ribera to Punta Colorada.
ROOSTERFISH Continues to be a banner year.
JACK CREVALLE Punta Arena is the best bet
BARRILLETE OR MEXICAN SKIPJACK A few scattered outside of La Ribera.
PARGO AND CABRILLA Several of the rock reefs near Punta Colorada produced good catches. .
.. OFFSHORE: Billfish and larger tuna counts both went up this week
.. INSHORE: A few schooling dorado and the roosterfish provided good action
.. BEACH: Gray light and late afternoons was the best bet for jacks and roosters.
.. QUICK COMMENT - Dennis Mosner and some friends traveled all the way from Princeton, NJ had non-stop action on Blue, striped and sails this past weekend and headed back home with big smiles on their faces. .

Temperatures: 87-degree high; low 75. cloudy
MARLIN Fifteen twenty miles west is the place to be right now.
DORADO Same area as the marlin produced good catches
TUNA Plenty of action on football sized fish several miles west of the Thetis Bank.
YELLOWTAIL Still a fair bite at the Thetis Bank
CORVINA Good catches reported up by the Power Plant.
SNOOK Devils Curve produced several larger snook this week .
HALIBUT Sand beaches on Magdalena Island are your best bet.
.. QUICK COMMENT Good offshore action with reports of dorado to twenty five pounds hitting anything that landed in the water. Chartreuse See Through Deceivers were the hot ticket for our clients fishing outside the Entrada.
