EAST CAPE, MAGDALENA BAY AND ZIHUATANEJO CONDITIONS
EAST CAPE, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO
IN GENERAL: Saturday night brought some much needed rain that was enough to cause some run off from the arroyos. Since then the rain has been confined to foothills behind East Cape. It is really a good news bad news story with the runoff comes more flotsam which usually provides cover for sardina which attracts the dorado. Tyler Foreman, Boulder, CO and his eleven year old son got their string straightened by some nice sized tuna out quite a ways out. Daniel Vapnek, Santa Barbara, CA found enough roosters, jacks and sierra to make his arm sore in front of Punta Colorada.

· OFFSHORE: Tuna continue to be the best bet if you can find them first. The school seems to have broken up and spread out.
· INSHORE: Punta Colorada to the Lighthouse providing some rod bending action on roosters, small jacks and some record sized sierra.
· BEACH: Off color water caused by runoff is making it tough this week.
BILLFISH Blue count continues to creep up as the water warms up. More sailfish showing up in the pattern every day.
YELLOWFIN TUNA Still plenty of football sized with a few gorillas mixed in.
DORADO With all the runoff and floating debris look for more action close to shore.
ROOSTERFISH - Just at the edge of the color line in front of Punta Colorada gave our clients enough action to practice their strip set techniques.
JACK CREVALLE Lots of small jacks at Punta Colorada mixed in with roosters and sierra.
BARRILETE OR MEXICAN SKIPJACK Look for the birds close to the water on the way out to the tuna grounds.
PARGO AND CABRILLA Blind casting on the rocky point producing fair action.
SIERRA They are back and hungry, dont forget the wire!
