Cabo Fishing Report August 9

Capt. Jason Smith
August 9, 2010
Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Steady Marlin action continues on the East Cape. North of Gordo Banks, massive schools of White Bonita are holding record numbers of Blue Marlin. The moon cycle is perfect for a solid week of fishing. Early morning bite on the billfish and then hang out through late afternoon and hit some big Yellowfin. We are still riding the late afternoon trend on the Yellowfin and had numerous fish in the 60lb range this week, and two in the 100lb class. Monster Rooster fish available inshore. Also we are seeing tons of Wahoo on a fast troll back to the dock. Striped Marlin are more active than they have been all year. With the number of Dorado we are seeing we can expect to hold on the the fish well in to the fall.
