Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

First Blue Marlin of the Season Caught! 345LBS! Pelagics are moving closer! Satellite imaging indicates that the water temperature is rising to 82-83 degrees at the 95 spot, and it remains consistently warm up to the 1150 spot! 🌊🐟🔥

Location: few miles offshore from the Arch, 95 and 1150.

Weather Forecast:
Next week in Cabo San Lucas, expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures around 90°F (32°C) and lows around 75°F (24°C). Gentle breezes will prevail, with occasional light winds from the northwest.

Species Highlights:

Striped Marlin: The marlin bite is now red hot! It has been improving at the 95 and 1150 spots, with plenty of bait spotted just a few miles offshore from Cabo. These impressive fish are aggressively feeding, attacking lures, rigged dead bait, and live bait. Catches are increasingly closer to shore, using a variety of methods including teasers, and Dredges.

Roosterfish: Bite continues with successful catches they have now spread out from a few miles past lighthouse and Hard Rock Hotel, to a couple miles outside of the bay inshore past grey rock on the sea of cortez.

Wahoo: Wahoo continue to cruise the waters outside of Cabo and have been crushing everything from lures, jetheads, deadbait, marauders, rappalas, and nomads. The action remains unpredictable as the wahoo catches this week vary. These elusive fish are still active, striking on rigged bait set on long troll lines, deep dive lures assisted with planer boards, and jethead lures. Our special technique involves rigging dead bait and using lures on deep planer boards.

Mahi Mahi: Mahi are biting, but catches have been scarce with no major schools reported. We have landed some nice Mahi while fishing for billfish.

Tuna: Closing in as the water now steadily warms up. This monday we found a school of Tuna and caught 3, There were cows in the school easily over 200Lbs however for guests comfort we had to return early.

Sailfish: Good numbers of sailfish! They are here and several have been caught throughout the week.

Blue Marlin: Fin Chaser caught its first Blue Marlin of the Season tipping the scales at around 345lbs!

Notes:

The Marlin bite is HOT this week in Cabo! There's an abundance of striped marlin. First Blue marlin of the season caught. Sailfish are also biting, adding to the excitement. The best spots remain a few miles offshore near the 1150 and 95 areas, with striped marlin thriving in temperatures above the 70s.

In addition to marlin and sailfish, a few mahi-mahi and tuna have been spotted moving into the area. With such a diverse range of fish and favorable conditions, it's a fantastic time for anglers to hit the water. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

The experienced crews at Fin Chaser Sportfishing are well-prepared to navigate these conditions, ensuring an exceptional fishing experience for our guests. Alongside marlin, anglers in Cabo San Lucas are enjoying excellent overall fishing conditions. Reports indicate a healthy mix of dorado (mahi-mahi), yellowfin tuna, and wahoo. The striped marlin bite remains strong, with many boats reporting successful catches and releases.

Overall, Cabo San Lucas offers thriving fishing action, making it an ideal time for both seasoned and novice anglers to embark on a memorable fishing adventure.
