HEADLINES: May 2, 2016:
JC, and Chris just got out of one mess with the Marlin Mafia charges, and to update you both JC and Chris have been charged and are awaiting a court date, it looks like both of these thugs are out on a bail set at 2,000,000 French Franks (Franks? What) Anyway JC posted the bail and was seen laughing as he and Chris left the courthouse. JC, Its reported had a white robe on as he departed the court house, and one reporter ask him, JC why the white robe? JC started to talk in a foreign tongue, but we did make out a few words and it was something to the effect of " I am one, you are two, love has crossed us, lov will betrays us, I walk through Lilacs, you walk on cow pies, Our souls will meet, the Greyhound leaves at 3.00, we will fly over yonder, you will smell Daffodils, all my followers walk in love, haters ride in a 49 chevy, love is in the air, cheap beer is in my vains, I walk the Line, My name is Johhny Cash.
Looks like people were stunned after JC got in to his 69 Rambler and left the court house. Really everyone was just trying to understand what he was trying to say. People were walking around stunned and stoned faced: (smell the Daffodils, Greyhound leaves at 3.00, My name is Johnny Cash, Cow Pies, What????)

Anyway we do have new drama to report about the supposed robbery of all of JC,s famouse recipes.

It has been reported that JC has taken out a $1,000,000,000 dollar insurance policy with Lloyds of Cabo on his recipes. (Lloyds of Cabo?) Seems some of JC,s prized recipes have been swiped from the vault in his office. Fish Report Boy was seen in the area after returning from Buena Vista and his Salsa Dance class, but there is no proof to indicate fish report boy on these charges. Local police report JC lost some of his most famous recipes and a couple of his Blue Bonnet Ribbons he won at the Kentucky state fair for Hog calling and his famous Apple Butter recipe. Luckily they didn't get all his recipes so he still has enough for his Ebook coming out called "As the Admiral Seas it, Recipes From my Heart". JC Barked: If I get my hands on that fish report boy I will…………………..". Fish Report Boy: What JC: "bring it on, ill box with you if you want , but I have that stupid report to write!!!"

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: Windy most of the week, with the poert closing for a few days. This doesn't happen very often as it really needs to be hauling to close the port. Although it has been blowing in the afternoons and evenings and we have had some pretty pleasant nights with a cool breeze. The highs have been close to 100 degrees with lows in the 70,s.

WATER: Still about the same as last week. There is a huge difference in the water temperatures on the East Cape compared to closer to Cabo on the Pacific side where there is like a 10 degree difference in water. East Cape some areas are 76 degrees and here close to Cabo on the Pacific it is 71 degrees and colder in some spots, so quite the contrast and this will affect the fishing in both areas as we will be catching something completely different from them boys on the East Cape.

BILLFISH: It has been a decent week for Striped Marlin and basically all Marlin species here in Los Cabos. Most fish have been caught on live bait, lures or slow trolling small Tuna. It has been an active and productive week for Marlin all week with good numbers of fish being caught and released.

DORADO: Very slow for Dorado over this past week with just a few being boated. Water temperatures this year have been playing a major part in what we have been seeing and it isn't too much so far. If the USA would stop buying illegal fish caught in Mexico that would help a lot as it is not legal to net Dorado in Mexico because it is a sportfishing and not listed as a commercial species. It seems as long as there are buyers then this will continue to happen and it seems the authorities just look the other way since they are getting their cut.

SWORDFISH: Havent heard of any caught this week.

WAHOO: Some pretty nice Wahoo being caught through most of last week.A few being landed down towards Gordo Banks.

TUNA: Last week was really good with some large Tuna being caught and this week has been good also, up and around the doughnut it has been hot using king busters and cedar plugs with some of the bigger fish being landed with live bait and some have been up over the 25 TO 30LBS mark this week.

INSHORE: Amberjacks and even Yellowtail being landed around the Light House in numbers. The pangas have been doing well with Sierras with some nice ones being landed and ranging from 5lb to 10lb. The Grouper and Snapper fishing has been going off up and around the Light House on the pacific.Pangas are having a pretty rough ride this week on the pacific side, but for the hardcore fisherman they love that stuff.

From The Admirals Kitchen!
JC,s Grilled Lobster Tails!!
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 15 min. + marinating Grill: 10 min.
MAKES: 6 servings
Ingredients
• 6 Baja lobster tails (8 to 10 ounces each), thawed
• 3/4 cup olive oil
• 3 tablespoons minced fresh chives
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
1. Using scissors, cut top of lobster shell lengthwise down the center, leaving tail fin intact. Loosen meat from shell, keeping the fin end attached; lift meat and lay over shell. With a knife, cut a slit, 1/2 inch deep, down center of meat.
2. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; spoon over lobster meat. Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
3. Place lobster tails, meat side up, on grill rack. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until meat is opaque. Yield: 6 servings.
JC,s Baja Lobster Tempura Info!!
Tempura is a crisp batter which originates from Portuguese settlers in Japan and has become a part of Japanese culture. It's great for battering fish, shellfish and vegetables. In Japan there are lots of tempura restaurants where everyone sits behind a bar and you get given the most amazing tempura for over two hours by a chef and his 'master', who does a lot of shouting.

To kill the lobsters take a sharp knife, place it at the crown of the head, and cut straight down – this will kill them straight away. Place the tail pieces, in a bowl with any juice that comes out.

Mix the dipping sauce ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.

I suggest you use a deep-fat fryer as it's easier to control. Heat it to 170°C/325°F. You can use a wok half-filled with oil, safely positioned on a stove with a thermometer, but be aware of other people (curious kids) and of possibly knocking things over if doing it this way. To make the batter, whisk the egg yolks and iced water together, add the cornflour and flour, and stir together using chopsticks – this helps to keep the batter a bit lumpy, which is what you want. Add the okra, chillies and lobster to the batter. Feel free to add any other veggies you fancy. Fine slices of sweet potato, whole spring onions, coriander stalks and baby courgettes with their flowers are all good. Once battered, pick up the lobster and veg and carefully put them into the oil.

Don't try to cook the tempura all at once – do them in 2 batches. Cook them until light golden and crisp on both sides. Drain them on some kitchen paper and then put them on to a plate. Serve the tempura with the dipping sauce and a dish of flavoured salt – I would suggest either jasmine tea salt or citrus salt.

Try this: I once worked in a Japanese restaurant and when the chefs put the veg into the oil, they dripped extra batter from a height on to them. This gave the tempura a really crunchy, spiky look and feel. You don't have to do this but it's a good little trick.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report. http://www.jcsportfishing.com http://youtu.be/tSXN6pifQyQ
