Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Location: The Arch and Lighthouse, 1150
Weather Conditions:
Forecast: Promising sunny days with clear skies.
Temperature: Highs in the 90s, lows in the 70s.
Wind: Southward wind continues along the Pacific, calmer conditions in the Sea of Cortez due to wind shadow.
Species Highlights:
Striped Marlin: The marlin fishing is red hot at the 1150. The first boats to get there can hook up to 8 to 10 fish. We have been catching them from the Lighthouse, offshore from The Arch, and down the 95 and 1150. Lots of Marlin right now with the first heatwave of the season warming up the water.
Roosterfish: Excellent fishing continues along the coast in front of Playa Grande and Solmar, extending from the Pedregal cliff and up the coast.
Amberjack, Yellowtail, Jack Crevalle: The action for amberjack and yellowtail has slowed down. We continue to catch these jigging on the shallow spots and rock piles.
Wahoo: Wahoo are now biting from Grey Rock to the 1150.
Sierra: Great for ceviche, have migrated up the Pacific shore in cooler waters.
Mahi Mahi: Slowly moving in they are biting offshore from the arch and lighthouse.
Notes: Inshore areas are a hotspot for roosterfish. Marlin are abundant at the 1150, with several being caught daily. The experienced crews of Fin Chaser Sportfishing are ready to navigate these changing conditions, ensuring an unparalleled fishing experience for our guests.
Weekly Tips:
Early Departure: Get the freshest bait by setting off early from the Marina.
Bait Rigging: Medium-sized, live baits are key to enticing those elusive catches.
Tackle Maintenance: Keep your gear in prime condition for the best chance at a high catch rate.
Prepare for a memorable week on the waters of Cabo San Lucas, where every cast is an opportunity for an unforgettable catch. 🌊🐟✨
