Picante Sportfishing Weekly Fishing Report by January 3rd. to Ja

Capt. Danny Mathews
January 12, 2011
Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our report is compiled from the catches of our fleet.
We'll update the report each week.

With the holidays behind us the number of boats clearing the Cabo inlet has dropped substantially. The action continues on the Pacific side of the peninsula with Yellowfin Tuna providing most of the offshore action and Sierra Mackerel and Red Snapper being targeted
close to the beach. Although lots of Striped Marlin are being spotted it's still tough to get these hard fighting fish to take a bait.

On January 5th. Captain Antonio "Nino" Romero and deckhand Luis showed our client Mr. Tudhopeand his family a great day releasing a Striped Marlin and 2 Amberjacks along with boating 2 Yellowfin Tuna that were enjoyed at a local restaurant during their stay in our sleepy fishing village.

On January 7th. our crews again found the fish and our boat of the day is our fast 35' Cabo Express "Salsa" with Captain Juan Carlos "Brincos" Lopez at the helm and deckhand Hugo working the cockpit. They released 2 Striped Marlin for our client the Emerson Group visiting Cabo on a corporate trip. Glad to see these folks back in town again this year.

On January 9th. the folks from Dow Agrosciences spent the day on 5 of our great Cabo yachts and the boat of the day is "CISCO" with Captain Jose "Mocho" Nunez at the helm. They were kept busy all day releasing a Striped Marlin and boating 9 Yellowfin Tuna to 40 lbs. It's good to see corporate America still rewarding clients and their top employees with reward trips south of the border.

TOTAL FLEET PRODUCTION

• 8 Striped Marlin
• 63 Yellowfin Tuna
• 20 Sierra Mackerel
• 7 Yellowtail
• 3 Dorado
• 4 Red Snapper
• 1 Grouper

Get out of the freezing weather north of the border and click that mouse or pick up the phone and book your trip of a lifetime to our desert paradise here at Lands End to get in on the action.
