Picante Sportfishing Weekly Fishing Report From April 25th. to M

Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our report is compiled from the catches of our fleet.

This week was highlighted by the return of a Striped Marlin bite over the Gordo Banks. A strong warm water current heading south out of the Sea of Cortez brought warmer water over the Banks and our guys are finding the fish.

On April 25th. it was our 24' Shamrock with Captain Renan Cesena at the helm that is our boat of the day. With the Striped Marlin bite closer to the beach and within reach of the Picantito II Mr. Bailey and his friends had a great day releasing 3 Striped Marlin.
Total fleet production was 3 Striped Marlin, 2 Yellowtail, 3 Roosterfish & 2 Dorado.

April 26th. proved to be another productive day for those that chartered with the "PICANTE" fleet. Regular client Mr. Allard and his friends chased the fish aboard our 35' Cabo Express "CISCO" with Captain Jose "Mocho" Nunez at the helm and deckhand Ricardo working the cockpit and had a great day releasing 4 Striped Marlin.
Fleet production was 5 Striped Marlin, 1 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Wahoo.

Not to be outdone this week the crew of our 29' Blackfin "Picante 29" showed their charter Mr. Cox and friends a fun day on the water releasing
2 Striped Marlin and boating a Yellowfin Tuna.
Total fleet production was 5 Striped Marlin, 1 Yellowtail and 1 Yellowfin Tuna.

The Striped Marlin bite continues to improve and May 1st. the crew of the Picante Dream went looking for the Marlin and they found them for Mr. Prindiville and his friends. Captain Pablo "Palin" Cesena and deckhand Captain David Lieras hustled all day releasing 5 Striped Marlin and boated a Yellowfin Tuna. These guys will have stories to tell for a long time.
Fleet production was 15 Striped Marlin and 1 Yellowfin Tuna.
