STRIPED MARLIN AND TUNA BITE REBOUNDS!!!

Beautiful spring weather has again greeted our charter clients along with westerly and southwesterly afternoon breezes. The breezes continue to push the cooler Pacific waters toward the Baja peninsula and a temperature break has set up south of the Arch holding bait fish which in turn has brought the Yellowfin Tuna and Striped Marlin close to the beach.

On May 31st. Mr. Miller and his friends spent the day on our 31' Cabo Express with Captain Eduardo "Lalo" Cesena at the helm and deckhand Ruben working the cockpit. Alter multiple chances at Striped Marlin they ended up releasing 2 Stripers and a Mako Shark along with boating 2 Yellowfin Tuna for dinner.

Corporate travel continues to visit our sleepy fishing village as the folks from UFC Group had a great day fishing aboard our35' Cabo Flybridge "Picante Dream" with a great crew of Captain Pablo "Palin" Cesena and deckhand Daniel. A once in a lifetime adventure for the group was had releasing 3 Striped Marlin and boating 2 Yellowfin Tuna. They'll have stories to tell on their return to the states.

On June 3rd. Mr. Larson and his family decided to charter our beautiful 45' Cabo Express "Picante 45" with Captain Emilio Arenas at the controls. The crew did not disappoint putting the Larsons on 2 Striped Marlin which were released and boating a nice Yellowfin Tuna. Anyone got wasabi??

The TEAM PICANTE!!! anglers and their wives spent the day on the water on the 6th. aboard the legendary 40' Tolleycraft "Picante" with Captain David Lieras and deckhand Fernando. Just off the arch 3 Yellowfin Tuna were boated and the crew decided to move southeast to look for Marlin. A spread of lures was put in the water with a jet head as a shotgun lure with wire leader. A short time later the shotgun went off and a good fight was started that resulted in a great 85 lb. Wahoo gaffed and put in the boat. Our largest Wahoo of the year. A nice 30 lb. Dorado was also boated and after several attempts at Striped Marlin we finally got the hook to stick and after a short battle the fish was released to fight again.

TOTAL FLEET PRODUCTION

• 16 STRIPED MARLIN
• 59 YELLOWFIN TUNA
• 10 DORADO
• 3 ROOSTERFISH
• 1 "BIG WAHOO"
• 1 MAKO SHARK

It's time to pick up the phone or click that mouse and book your trip to our desert paradise here at Lands End and get in on the action.
