Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report
Picante Sportfishing Weekly Fishing Report by August 1st. to August 7th. 2011
Our report is compiled from the catches of our fleet.

A large temperature break set up along the 1,000 Fathom line south of Cabo San Lucas and the fishing has been outstanding on the break. Large Yellowfin
Tuna, Dorado and Wahoo have been prowling the edges.
On August 1st. Mr. Isbell and his Friends spent the day aboard our great 35' Cabo Express "Salsa" with Captain Juan Carlos "Brincos" at the controls.
They decided to chase billfish and the crew did not disappoint releasing a Blue Marlin (estimated at 250 Lbs.) and 2 Pacific Sailfish. In addition the crew
of the our other 35' Cabo Express "Cisco" fishedthe temperature break and boated 10 Yellowfin Tuna with the biggest weighing in at 200 lbs. They also boated 9 more Yellowfin Tuna….all over 75 lbs.
August 2nd. proved to be another great day on the temperature break producing more large Yellowfin Tuna. Our legendary 40' Tolleycraft "Picante" with Captain Emilio Arenas made the trip for Mr. Smithand his friends. They boated 3 Yellowfin with the largest weighing in at 195 lbs. along with a nice 40 lb. Wahoo. Fleet production was 1 Blue Marlin, 1 Striped Marlin, 17 Dorado, 3 Tuna & 1 Wahoo.
The latter part of the week belongs to our fast 32' Cabo Express with Captain Antonio "Nino" Romero at the helm. Our good friend Rob Wilson is back in Cabo and he always charters with "Nino". On August 3rd. and again on August 7th. Rob and the crew released a Blue Marlin and a Striped Marlin. Fleet production for the 2 days was 2 Blue Marlin, 4 Striped Marlin, 3 Pacific Sailfish, 15 Dorado and 16 Yellowfin Tuna.
