Cabo San Lucas - Saltwater Fishing Report

Good sunny Monday morning from the Marlin Capital of the World !!! The Striped Marlin bite kicked in over the weekend in a big way....balling bait just north of the Lighthouse on the pacific side of the peninsula. If you have never witnessed these schooling fish circle a bait ball and slash through the ball with bills flashing and mouths open it is a truly a site to behold. Under our boat on Saturday the turquoise stripes of these beautiful fish could be clearly seen in the blue pacific waters. As many as 5 or 6 at a time were visible from the cockpit. Along with the giant whales putting on a show it was truly a National Geographic day. Our 35 Cabo "Picante Pride" with Gregorio "Goyo" Lieras at the helm had a great day for our clients Mr. Gilman and his family releasing 12 Striped Marlin.
Our captains had a day to "ham it up" on the 16th as we sent a film crew on our beautiful 45' Cabo Express with captain Emilio Arenas at the helm to do a tutorial of fishing techniques we use in Cabo and to show off their skills. Our plan is to post it on You Tube and or website www.picantesportfishing.com
They had a fun day releasing 7 Striped Marlin and boating 8 Tuna, 5 Dorado & 8 Red Snapper.
