October was great, but November will be Awesome!

Biloxi Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

In early October the bait started making the transition into the bay and rivers. The fish are following behind right on schedule. We started the month out catching a lot of school trout and reds of all sizes.

As the days have gone by the fishing has become fast and furious. The trout and reds are bigger the sheepshead and black drum are huge.

This will continue through the winter and into the spring.
We have been catching most of the fish within a mile or two from the dock. Watch for the birds diving or siting on the water. The fish will be close. For the trout we have been using ¼ oz DOA shrimp tight lined and under a popping cork. Live shrimp work great too, but the bite is so fast it slows the catching down having to rebait.
To catch bigger trout look for the mullet. Early in the morning and late afternoon I like to use Mirrolure 7M, Topdog, Catch 2000 and Paul Brown Corkys.
The redfish, sheepshead and black drum are around the bridges and in the marsh. Using live or dead shrimp on a bottom rig with a 1/0 Eagle Claw Trokar octopus hook or a 2/0 Eagle Claw Trokar Kahle hook under a popping cork.

This is a great time to get those kiddos on the water while the action is fast and fun. It will be a memory of a lifetime. Give us a call and let's go get'em.
