Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS has just finished up a great run of world class light tackle sheepshead fishing here out of Biloxi and D'Iberville, Mississippi in south Mississippi.

Caught fish in close as well as a good run out to the barrier islands. Was catching the sheepies in less than 3 feet of water, as well in 20 feet of water.

Live shrimp or fresh dead has been the key to our success, and the live is the ultimate offering a this time.

A few flounders and white trout are starting to move in, but I say give it 2 weeks of good weather and these runs should kick in in the inshore waters. Can't wait!

Cobia and Florida pompano are about to show up in good numbers too, and that's always great fishing.

Again, as long as we can get live shrimp the sheepshead bite should be good for a while longer. These sheepies are all large fish, and the bite can be as fast as you can cast or drop down to them.

Been catching a few white trout and ground mullet, but like I said the run should get hot in our near shore waters anytime now.

Oh yeah, look for the tripletail to begin swimming into the Mississippi Sound, and those unique fish are always a great bonus catch.

March overall despite the windy and cold conditions proved to be excellent fishing. Didn't cancel a trip and caught plenty of fish for the most part.

Many thanks to all of the anglers that fished in those conditions and managed to make excellent catches.
Here are a few picks of the latest run of trips.
Hope everyone out there had a great and safe Easter Sunday with family and friends...I know I did!
Regards and many thanks to all,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie
